General comments: | hi i'm new to this site, i've liked supras since i was a kid and i finnally bought one, it's a right hand drive japanese 1995 supra with a 2jz-ge engine with just above 100.000 km on the odo meter. drives great without any problems and i was wondering what was the easiest and cheapest way to obtain 380 whp solely for drifting purposes. it's my every day car and i was thinking to making it turbo but running on low boost.should i do an entire engine swap? or stay with the engine which has btw the 5 speed transmission and not the getrag and make it turbo? what parts are at risk if i do the last? and what kind of budget am i looking at for the parts needed? if possible i would like to know what are a couple of good quality brands for the parts needed too. with the turbo should i go ballbearing or bushing? keeping in mind that it's my every day car. thank you for your attencion and i would appreciate any feedback.
What things have gone wrong with the car: | nothing has gone wrong with the car up to now and i don't wish anything to go wrong with my car in the near future which is why i'm asking for help.

Hi there you might want to do some research there is a great site Mkiv.co.nz has heaps of info you will need the 5 speed box can handle max 260kw Stock 2JZGTE's are 206kw/280hp , a single turbo kit would work good but a good twinsetup will be more responsive if you only want to get the 380hp. single turbos are better over the 600hp mark. Good luck with the Project. |

the best thing to do to make your supra into a full drifting car would basically change your suspension. the axles and the inner and outer rods. because the original rods are very easy to break so do that. |
