| Problems: | my engine run smoothly for 20 km, but when i stop and the engine at idle, knocking noise was heard and check engine sensor light up at the dashboard. also black smoke was at the visibly seen at the exhaust pipe. what cause that problem | |

| i also had the same with mine took it to the garage and they said it was the cup links going cost me 279 pounds to have fixed |

| I had the same with mine a 1997 diesel. I had it checked and I had to replace three valves, all the valve seals, three cup links and had the cylinder head reset. Cost me 17,000 Kenyan shillings which comes to about 120 pounds. Labour is cheap in my country |
